Vinted explained the revised method more closely matches comparable marketplaces. The platform has recommended to check their listings and update the measurements by hand when needed, causing user dissatisfaction. Size Classification Changes Earlier, the measurements included numerical and alphabetical indicators, such as S/8 or M/10. The new system has an alphabetical indicator and numerical range such as S/UK 8-10. In some cases, the sizing has been recategorised - for example a size L used to be a 12 but now shows as UK 16-18. User Stories A fashion influencer, who creates plus-size fashion videos, stated the update "complicates both purchasing and selling". "Few clothing companies classify XL as 20-22," as the platform currently indicates. Another user, from Glasgow, explained products she uploaded featuring size 14 markings were showing in the marketplace as larger sizing 20-22. "Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they will likely be quite upset," she said.
